Coach Mike:

Mike Horstmann is Coach Mike.  He is certified by the American Coaching Academy.

Coach Mike has been around the Denver area forever.  A rare, true native. Coach Mike started sports as a 7 year old AYL Panther (many, many years ago). 

Coach Mike played both football and baseball in high school, but didn't make it as far as Coach Boo did.  However, Coach Mike did make it to the college level in gymnastics and competed for the University of Oklahoma.  While in Norman, OK. he began his coaching career at Bart Connor's (1984 Olympic Gold Medalist) gym. 

As a result, Coach Mike got a coaching gig in Australia as the Men's Director for a club gym in Victoria, Australia. While he was there, he coached the Victorian team to a second place finish at Nationals and had one of his gymnasts become a National Champion.
